Course description:
EEG Abnormalities/Seizures: These webinars will cover the basic EEG waves and identify abnormalities of the cerebral function picked up on an EEG. As well as cover what EEG abnormalities represent including seizure activity. The webinar’s will briefly touch on the evolution of EEG testing and the current uses for EEG recording.
Upon completion the student should:
• Understand the basic function of an EEG recording
• Understand how to identify abnormalities seen in EEG recordings
• Understand the relevance of EEG recording in diagnosing seizure activity
• Have a basic understanding of the evolution of EEG recordings and their purpose

Continuing Education:
The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) designates this educational activity
for a maximum of 1 Continuing Sleep Technology Education credits.
Individuals should claim only those credits that he/she actually earned in the educational activity.
