This course is designed to give those new to the sleep field as well as those experienced in the field all of the information necessary to know and understand what sleep disorders are and how to classify them. It will also provide an overview of the signs and symptoms of the most prevalent disorders and their treatments.

Upon completion of this presentation viewers should:

• Be able to recognize and identify terminology used in sleep medicine
• Know and understand the most prevalent sleep disorders and their classifications based on the ICSD-2 guidelines
• Know where and how to gather additional information (ICSD-2)
