This presentation gives a general overview of how to perform a sleep study from the perspective of a technician. It gives a description and overview of montages, how to hook-up and prepare a patient, calibrate the machinery, identify physician orders and other special accommodations.

Upon completion of this presentation viewers should:

• Be able to identify different montages
• Know how to prepare and interact with a patient
• Understand and demonstrate amplifier calibrations
• Be able to read and understand physician orders and any other special orders or accommodations
