This presentation instructs technicians on how to monitor airflow and patient respiratory effort. It gives an overview and explanation of the equipment used and the purpose each piece plays in a standard PSG study. It also helps viewers identify events on the tracings.

Upon completion of this presentation viewers should:

• Be able to identify and know the use of pressure transducers
• Be able to identify and know the use of capnography
• Be able to identify and know the use of snore sensors
• Be able to identify and know the use of RIP belts
• Be able to identify and know use of piezoelectric sensors
• Be able to identify and know the use of esophageal Ph probes
• Be able to identify and know the use of Respiratory EMG
