This course is designed to assist technicians in recognizing various artifacts they will encounter over the duration of the night shift. It addresses the actions a night technician can take to eliminate and troubleshoot through the artifacts to ultimately gain the best possible acquisition for patient care, diagnosis and treatment.

Upon completion of this presentation viewers should:

• Be able to identify and troubleshoot EEG artifacts
• Be able to identify and troubleshoot EMG artifacts
• Be able to identify and troubleshoot cardiac artifacts
• Be able to identify and troubleshoot respiratory artifacts
• Be able to identify and troubleshoot environmental artifacts
